International Gran Fondo Dead Sea Arad Cycling Festival 2018
The Gran Fondo Dead Sea Arad Cycling Festival 2018, one of the largest and most unique road cycling festivals in the Middle East will take place on the 23rd and 24th of March. 1,000 riders from 30 countries are expected to start the two day stage race at the lowest point on Earth. As well as ‘Elite’ and ‘Masters’ riders there will be participants at all levels who will enjoy perfect early Summer like cycling weather. A major bonus for people coming the Northern Hemisphere. But it wont all be about cycling as participants can experience such things as nomadic Bedouin culture and support GFDS ‘Annual journey for peace’ bringing Israeli and Palestinian riders together.
The race will start at the lowest point on Earth aka the Dead Sea Depression and will once again take riders through the traditional 155 km circuit. The course includes 1,873 meters of vertical climbing and passes through the sun bleached, arid and dramatic beautiful landscape of the Judean Desert.
